WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR FIRST CONSULTATION

Your first consultation will involve an extensive assessment of your Urological problem by Dr Rao where he will ask you about your symptoms and its effect on your life. He will also take note of your general health and medical history and any prior surgical procedures. An examination may be required and patients are encouraged to bring along a family member or friend. You will have your concerns addressed in a manner which will be easy to understand and Dr Rao is happy to answer any questions you may have.

If required, further tests and investigation will be arranged, as will follow up appointments and/or any operations necessary.

The costs involved in any required surgery will be explained in advance and there will not be any hidden charges outside of the financial consent.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Referral letter from your General Practitioner

  • Any relevant pathology results

  • Any CD/DVD/reports of relevant scans. eg CT, MRI, Ultrasound, PET scans, X Rays

  • List of your current medications

  • Summary of your previous medical history from your GP
